FAQs

  • What is the cost for transportation of my injured employee for a New Injury appointment at ICA?

    Nothing. Injury Care Associates offers transportation to any Injury Care Associates clinic from the patients place of work and back free of charge to the patient and employer. Transportation is between the patients place of work and an Injury Care Associates clinic only.

  • What appointments are eligible for FREE transportation?

    All New Injury evaluations at an Injury Care Associates clinic are eligible for free transportation to and from an Injury Care Associates clinic from the patients place of work. If the patient requires ongoing testing and/or treatment for their work-related claim, Injury Care Associates will submit a referral to the insurer for ongoing transportation services as per the Colorado Workers’ Compensation Act.

    Non-injury services including drug and alcohol testing, physical exams and other employee health services are not eligible for free transportation.

  • How will ICA arrange transportation for my injured employee?

    Injury Care Associates maintains business relationships with 3rd party ride share companies that provide medical transportation. Injury Care Associates arranges transportation for patients using these 3rd party ride share companies. Once the transportation appointment is made, the injured worker will receive a text message notifying them of the scheduled ride. If the patient does not have a cell phone, the company representative will be notified of the ride.

  • How do I request FREE transportation for my injured employee?

    The patient or a representative of the company can contact any Injury Care Associates clinic to schedule a New Injury evaluation. During the scheduling process, notify a member of our team that the patient will require transportation and we will schedule a ride for the patient. Once the ride is scheduled, we will communicate directly with the patient the time and location of the ride. Once the patient completes their appointment at Injury Care Associates, we will then arrange transportation back to their place of work.

  • At which locations does the free transportation service apply?

    The service is available at all Injury Care Associates clinics.

  • What should I do if I encounter any issues with my transportation?

    If any issues arise with your transportation, please contact the respective Injury Care Associates clinic immediately and we will assist you in resolving the issue promptly.

  • Will I or my injured worker be required to tip the driver?

    No. Injury Care Associates covers the full cost of the transportation for the injured worker. There is no out of pocket expense for the injured worker or cost to the employer.
